Can I manually update a pause?We have a management section that allows you to see all pauses and resumes allowing quick changes to be made like when the student is at the front desk asking for a change.

Can I control the pause minimum lengthYes you can. We default to 7 days so the system has less chance of being abused and limit a pause to a maximum of 6 months. This is controlled through the management interface, but can be overridden for a student in the management interface.

Can I see what has happened?As this is all done through the chat, you have an audit trial of what has happened so no surprises.

I own multiple studios, what plan do I use.Wix Marketplace only allows a simple pricing model currently, but a usage model is coming where we can charge on completed pause/resumes.

Can a student resume when they want?Yes they can, like they have come back early and want to start doing classes.

Can a student pause now?Yes, as life is always changing. Is a simple "pause now" chat. If no days set, then will do for 7 days as the default.

Why did we build this?We run two Yoga and Pilates studios post Covid ( was seven pre Covid) and found that 15% of all messages was to do with pausing or resuming of memberships. We had created a form for this, but still got the messages instead. Recently we saw a chance to do this change this as we have also been building a product to pay teachers, another major time expense which will be coming Q2 2025, not just a report that others do. We saw that a modern AI enabled chat will have an impact for students and business in general and see this as a simple starting point.

What do I really need to do to set this up?You can install the app, configure the basic settings and rules, and get started immediately. Many students begin using it intuitively, without needing to read instructions, simply interacting in their usual way. However, we recommend informing your students about this functionality through a blog post that will serve as a long-term reference. Additionally, update the app and website to include a Pause/Resume tab with clear instructions. In your sign-up email, mention that they can manage pauses and resumes directly. Finally, update your policy rules to reflect this change, emphasizing that management of pauses and resumes is now the students’ responsibility. When a student uses the term “pause” in chat, the AI will recognize it, respond accordingly if it understands, or provide guidance on how to pause manually, saving your team valuable time.
